Kainar cable (HMWPE / PVDF) consists of a double-layer insulated filament copper wire. The outer insulation layer is made of polyethylene (HMWPE) which provides mechanical protection to the wire with high tensile strength. Also, this layer with high resistance against water penetration, protects the wire from destruction in deep well substrates. The main function of this layer is mechanical protection of the inner insulation layer (PVDF). The inner insulation layer (PVDF) has strong chemical resistance to chlorine, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or other strong oxidants. Therefore, it is not exposed to petroleum hydrocarbons (coke breeze), which are present in many cathodic protection systems.
This type of cable is designed to create lead connections of anodes in various environments. The cable's dual insulation structure allows it to be placed directly in the ground or used in fresh water or salt water. The use of this cable is highly recommended in anodic substations due to the presence of chlorine and hydrogen gases.
Tavana Zob Sana'ati Kavir Company is able to supply this type of cable in order to complete its cathodic protection ancillary equipment.
