Cathodic protection is a method used to protect metal structures against corrosion. For this purpose, two systems of sacrificial anodes and Impressed current system are used for protection. A mechanical connection between the structure and the anode is necessary to establish a current inside the electrolyte. Sometimes this connection is made by cable and cable connection kits are used to protect this connection.
Cable connection kits are used for cathodic protection of structures such as pipelines, tanks and structures buried in the ground. These kits are designed in accordance with the requirements of BS 7888 standard.
Resin cable jointing kits are offered in three types:
Kit structure
The joint consists of a transparent and strong plastic mold body for tight sealing. The large shell of the body allows the use of screw connections inside the joint. After the joints are completed inside the joint, resin is poured into the upper part of the joint. The high quality resin composition has a high resistance to moisture absorption and is stored inside an aluminum protective bag.
